Located in the center-north of France, Il-de-France experiences mild temperatures and weather throughout the year. Although the region is inland, it is close enough to the Atlantic Ocean that it experiences ocean weather as well as typical inland weather, causing the warmer temperatures. Summers are more rainy than winters, with 52.4 mm versus 50.5 mm, respectively. This rainfall causes overall lush vegetation and large areas of green forestation.
